2003 Spring Season Member Listening Party • APRIL 10, 2003

It's a rare opportunity to meet and talk to a legendary jazz bassist such as Charlie Haden, an artist whose personality off the stage is as beautiful as his music. On April 10, 2003 more than 400 members shared in the experience of discovering the beautiful person "behind-the-music" of legendary jazz bassist/composer Charlie Haden.

Through an evening of listening to Haden's "favorite picks", and through Haden's stories of who and what inspired him as a musician, Haden revealed not only his own passion for jazz music, but a passion for humanity that has clearly influenced his life's work from the 1950's through the present.
